Hi Everyone!

Since we started our unit on modern jazz, you've learned a number of steps:

• Step ball-change
• Chasse
• Chaine
• Rock
• Pas de boure
• Step turn
• Pivot turn

I gave you a checklist of all the steps you'll be learning and will be evaluated on. Please work on these in class and at home. Don't worry, you still have lot's of time before evaluation to practice, especially because you have a few more steps to learn, such as:

• Pirouette
• Drag (step)
• Jazz Split

Warm-Ups

As I mentioned before, this coming week you will be assigned to lead the class in a Warm-Up. You can do this in pairs or in groups of three and will have to sign up on a sign up sheet. I'll give you class time to work on your warm up. I'll explain in class on Monday, so be sure to be there!

In the meantime, please stretch those sore muscles and be ready to dance this coming week! Remember....you get daily participation marks! ;) Don't forget to bring hair ties and water bottles to class!!
